I'm All Arms and Legs
That's me today, all arms and legs. A pretty unproductive afternoon - watched a lot of college basketball. Ate more than I should, and ripped my shorts climbing off my bicycle. I have the bike mounted on an indoor trainer. In chez mois, most of my home accidents occur getting off and on the bike! I have included a couple of my early attempts at night photography from the 2002 Boston First Night Celebration. The 2002 New Year's Eve celebration was on of the best in terms of "Public Art". The temperature's were below freezing for the ice sculptures and the wind was just blowing enough to display the balloon figures to their best advantage. The Canon EOS D 30 performed better than I ever expected. I still use it when I want that color saturation that only the big pixel camera can give.
I need the focus of a polar bear attacking a Salmon Run. I bought some daffodils for my photography projects and they are now blooming. I need to get with it within the next 10-15 hours or start over again. For more on my D 30 read I have been preparing some images for a contest..
Spider-Man was introduced in Amazing Fantasy #15, 1962. Due to positive sales and fan mail resulting from the issue, the character received his own title, The Amazing Spider-Man, the following year, which became Marvel's best-selling series. The character quickly became a cultural icon; a 1965 Esquire poll of college campuses found that college students ranked Spider-Man and fellow Marvel hero The Hulk alongside Bob Dylan and Che Guevara as their favorite revolutionary icons.
Waldo County, situated in mid-coast Maine along scenic Penobscot Bay, has genuine New England character evidenced by working port towns and quaint rural villages. Visitors are awed by the area's unspoiled beauty. From striking coastal views to sweeping mountain vistas, dramatic natural settings abound. In addition great care has been taken to preserve and refurbish numerous historic landmarks, homes and buildings. Consequently, the Maine of yesteryear is still found here.
