When traveling, eat the street food. Travel books will almost always tell you not to, but generally speaking, when in Mexico, especially Puebla, it is entirely safe and can be one of the best "cultural" experiences of your trip.
Some of my favorites were cookies, some sprinkled with powdered sugar and others with cinnamon and sugar. There are also little cakes similar to rice cakes, except made of pumpkin seeds and other local grains stuck together with a honey/caramel coating.
