I would like to believe that my sense of "taste" will never be brought under the sovereignty of reason. I have a level of taste for people, a visual taste, a taste in emotion, a taste in morality and a taste in ideas. Not all are equally developed or sophisticated. I would like to believe that I have a pretty good sense of taste for food, and a well developed taste of ideas. My taste of fashion is sadly lacking, and my taste of grace is almost non existent.
I took this picture of some wooden flowers in Bar Harbor Maine several summers ago. I spent about half an hour to get it right. My brothers questioned my actions. They left me to stand in line for ice cream. I eventually joined them. The ice cream tasted very, very good.
